Anarquismo en América Latina: consideraciones en torno a su Historia, Rasgos y Perspectivas

    Partiendo de ideas básicas sobre el tema esbozadas por el autor en conferencia ofrecida ante el Encuentro Internacional Anarquista celebrado en Saint-Imier, Suiza, en agosto de 2012, se propone un esquema para interpretar la historia del anarquismo latinoamericano, donde se distinguen cuatro períodos y se anotan los rasgos más destacados para cada uno: orígenes en el S. XIX, primer tercio del S. XX, etapa posterior hasta alrededor de 1990, y desde la última década del S. XX al momento presente. Luego se discuten retos y perspectivas del actual anarquismo continental, para concluir con la indicación de autores, agrupaciones, páginas web y publicaciones periódicas que testimonian su pasado y su situación contemporánea.

    We propose a method to interpret the history of Latin American anarchism, dividing it into four periods, taking into consideration their main features. Th is approach is based on the talk given by the author at the International Anarchist Gathering held in Saint-Imier, Switzerland, August 2012. ThTh e fifi rst period covers anarchism�s origins in the 19th century, followed by the fi rst third of the 20th, from then until around 1990 and from the last decade of the 20th century until the present day. We discuss the challenges currently facing continental anarchism and its future perspectives and then provide details of authors, groups, web sites and publications from the past and the present.
