  • A new fern genus, Himalayopteris W. SG & Lu Shao (Polypodiaceae, Polypodioideae), and vice described on the new Combination Established been granted an H. erythrocarpa (Mett. ex Kuhn) W. Shao & Lu SG, for-its only known species Distributed in northern India, Sikkim, and the adjacent Himalayas. Evidence for the benefit of in-its-its generic separation venation Pattern, scale Characteristics, leaf epidermis, sporangia, Spore ornamentation, and chromosome number. Assessment of o'i IUCN conservation status with georeferenced Localities Places the new genus in the Vulnerable category.
