After some considerations on the relationship between non-legal sciences and legislative drafting, the Author examines a few cases where the role of history in legislative drafting is relevant: negationism and art. 301 Turkish Penal Code; negationism of the Christian history for the preamble of the European Constitution;
debated interpretations about the formation of the Italian State; negationism and reislamization; crucifixes in Italy and minarets in Switzerland; blasphemy in Pakistan.
