    La biblioteca en general y la biblioteca escolar son una parte integral del sistema educativo de cualqier país, son instituciones que por sus características intrínsecas preservan la infraestructura y acervos de que se les va dotando, representando una inversión duradera del gobierno y la sociedad al servicio de la educación al constituirse en un reservorio de información que es el principal sustento del currículum.

    the general library and the school library are an integral part of the educational system of any country, they are institutions that, by their intrinsic characteristics, preserva the infrastructure and collections that provide and represent a lasting investment in government and society to serve education, by becoming a reservoir of information that is the mainstay of the educational curriculum.
