The status is reviewed of type specimens of the 15 tax described by Schwägrichen in the moss genera Calymperes F. Weber and Syrrhopodon Schwägr. (Calymperaceae),held in G (Hedwig-Schwägrichen Herbarium), BM, PC and S. Lectotypes are designated herein for Calymperes lonchophyllum Schwägr., Calymperes moluccense Schwägr.,Syrrhopodon albovaginatus Schwägr., Syrrhopodon clavatusSchwägr., Syrrhopodon dubius Schwägr.,Syrrhopodon incom-pletus Schwägr., Syrrhopodon involutus Schwägr., Syrrhopodon prolifer Schwägr., Syrrhopodon rigescens Schwägr., Syrrhopodon taylorii Schwägr., and Syrrhopodon tristichus Schwägr.
