    Jenseits der institutionalisierten sektoralen und zentralen Sozialen Dialoge mit den Arbeitgeberverbänden auf europäischer Ebene bemühen sich die Gewerkschaften verstärkt um soziale Dialoge mit anderen Akteuren der Zivilgesellschaft, um verbesserte soziale und ökologische Standards in der Arbeitswelt durchzusetzen. Diese Kooperationen sind nicht immer konfliktfrei. Zu den Erfolgsbedingungen für das coalition building zwischen Gewerkschaften und NGOs gehört die wechselseitige Akzeptanz ihrer unterschiedlichen sozialen Ziele. Die Präsenz von Brücken-Personen in den jeweiligen Partnerorganisationen kann ebenfalls für den Erfolg der Kooperation eine erhebliche Bedeutung haben. Schlie'lich ist das politische Umfeld von Belang, insbesondere die Bereitschaft staatlicher oder suprastaatlicher Institutionen, Gewerkschaften und NGOs Mitwirkungsmöglichkeiten an Entscheidungsprozessen anzubieten.

    In addition to the institutionalised sectoral and central 'social dialogues' with the employers' organisations at European level, trade unions are devoting increasing efforts to social dialogue with other civil society actors as a means of promoting improved social and ecological standards in the world of work. These efforts at cooperation are not always free of conflict. One prerequisite for successful coalition building between trade unions and NGOs is mutual acceptance of their different social goals. The presence of bridge persons' in the respective partner organisations can also be a significant factor of success. An important role is played, finally, by the political environment, in particular, the preparedness of state or supra-state bodies to offer trade unions and NGOs opportunities to participate in decision-making.

    En marge des «dialogues sociaux» institutionnalisés sur le plan sectoriel et interprofessionnel avec les organisations patronales au niveau européen, les syndicats consacrent de plus en plus d'efforts au dialogue social avec d'autres acteurs de la société civile dans le but de promouvoir les normes sociales et écologiques dans le monde du travail. Ces efforts dans le sens d'une coopération ne sont pas toujours exempts de conflits. Une condition préalable au succès de la construction d'alliances entre les syndicats et les ONG, c'est l'acceptation mutuelle de leurs differénts objectifs sociaux. La présence de personnes chargées de faire le pont de chacune des organisations partenaires peut également constituer un facteur significatif de succès. C'est l'environnement politique qui joue un rôle non négligeable, et en particulier, la volonté des organismes publics ou supranationaux d'offrir aux syndicats et aux ONG l'occasion de participer à la prise de décision.
