Resumen de Conocer el Odio: hacia una Interpretación de la Narrativa de Pandillas Salvadoreñas

Este texto presenta resultados parciales de una investigación realizada entre 2007 y 201 2 que tuvo como objetivo entender la interacción de las pandillas Mara Salvatrucha y Barrio 1 8St con la sociedad salvadoreña. Para ello se intenta una explicación acerca del origen del enfrentamiento dicotómico que se vive entre las pandillas, echando mano de la interpretación de narraciones de niñez de tres personas pertenecientes a una misma generación de salvadoreños/as marcados por la guerra civil (1 980-1 992). Se espera que el análisis muestre las formas en las cuales las realidades históricas del colectivo social impactan y moldean la subjetividad.

This article presents the partial findings of research done between 2007 and 201 2, with the objective of understanding how the gangs or maras Salvatrucha and 1 8st interact with the salvadoran society. To achieve this we put forward an explanation about the origins of the dichotomic confrontation experienced within the gangs, making use of interpretations of three people's childhood stories, that belong to the same generation of salvadorans affected by the Civil War (1 980-1 992). Our hope is that the analysis shows the forms in which the social collective's historical realities impact and mold their subjectivity.
