    En este artículo se describe el panorama de los premios teatrales en la España del siglo XXI. La cantidad de premios convocados desde finales de la dictadura franquista hasta nuestros días ha ido creciendo notablemente, aunque también estos han ido perdiendo significación social. Actualmente, son muchos y muy diversos los premios de teatro que anualmente se convocan en nuestro país. Aquí se da noticia de las entidades que los convocan y las principales modalidades, y se analiza en qué medida han repercutido en las trayectorias profesionales de los artistas que los han recibido.

    This article talks about the prospect of the theatre awards in Spain during the 21st century. The amount of awards announced from the end of Franco�s dictatorship until now has increased considerably, though they have also lost social importance. Nowadays, many and very diverse theatre awards are announced annually in our country. The article sheds light on the entities that convene these awards and their main categories as well as it analyses to what extent they have had an impact on the careers of those artists who have received them.
