  • Resumen
    • Clinicians have long suspected an association between migraine and infantile colic.1- 3 Previous studies have linked maternal migraine with infantile colic.4 In this issue of JAMA, a case-control study of 208 children with migraine and 471 age-matched controls by Romanello and colleagues5 answers a long-standing scientific question by demonstrating an association between migraine, with or without aura, and infantile colic in pediatric patients, with an odds ratio of 6.61 (95% CI, 4.38-10.00). The specificity of this finding is bolstered by the absence of any association between tension headaches and infantile colic in a separate group of 120 children.5
