En la historia de España y Portugal en la primera mitad del siglo XX el movimiento obrero anarcosindicalista desempeñó un importante papel, hecho que representa un elemento distintivo de la historia de los países de la Península Ibérica en el marco europeo. La actividad de estos sindicatos fue relevante tanto en la caída de las monarquías, las tensiones internas que sacudieron a las repúblicas, como en la resistencia a la implantación de las dictaduras.
In the history of Spain and Portugal in the first half of the twentieth century anarcho-syndicalist labor movement played an important role, a fact that represents a distinctive feature of the history of the countries of the Iberian Peninsula in the European framework. Activity of these unions was significant both in the fall of monarchies, internal tensions in that shook the republics, as in resistance to the implantation of dictatorships.
