A rainfall-outflow model has been applied for simulating the daily outflows of El Tempul spring (Cadiz, Southern Spain) based on daily precipitation values. The model fits quite good for average climatic conditions; however, for high recharge or very drought periods, the model presents variations that moves away of reality. The application of this model can be useful in water resource management of the carbonate aquifer system of the Sierra de las Cabras, which would result in benefit of water supplying of Cadiz Bay, an area where the demand of water is elevated and, in addition, presents important seasonal variations, with greater demand in summer
