The study of the hydrochemical and hydrodynamic data of the Maro spring, from 7 995 to 7 998, makes clear the typically karstic behaviour of the spring, with rapid and important increases in the outflow accompanied by generalised dilution phoenomena, in response to the rapid infiltration of the rainfall. The higher piezometric elevation of the Maro spring, with regard to regional piezometric elevation in this sector of the carbonate aquifer, reveals its actual evolution state in the karstic system of Sierra Almijara
