Nietzsche is a conscious prophet of the century opening after him. His "abyssal thought" - the eternal eçreturn of the same and nihilism - is destined to change radically the philosophical and even theological thought of the 20th century. Despite this, he is attached to the precedent philosophy, in a way that makes of him a caesurae between modern and post-modern. he present article takes into account such a thesis through several themes: the fundamental points of modernity and their negation as transit towards post-modernity; the announcement of God's death and nihilism in the perspective of metaphisics; man after God's death: the Superman; Nietzsche and theology.
