    Neil Postman (Nueva York, 1931�2003) fue director del Department of Media, Culture and Communication de la Universidad de Nueva York, donde impartió ecología de los medios. Sociólogo, comunicólogo; entre sus obras más relevantes destacan Teaching as a Subversive Activity (1969), Amusing Ourselves to Death (1985) o Technopoly: The Surrender of Culture to Technology (1992).     Neil Postman (New York, 1931�2004) was head of the Department of Media, Culture and Communication at the University of New York, where he taught Media Ecology. He is a sociologist and communicologist; his most relevant publications include Teaching as a Subversive Activity (1969), Amusing Ourselves to Death (1985) and Technopoly: The Surrender of Culture to Technology (1992). In this interview, this theoretician from the United States tells us about his relationship with Marshall McLuhan, who was one of his mentors, and about the influence that the Canadian thinker had on his work.
