  • The article presents information about how organizational culture in various countries influence the way offices are arranged or designed, noting researchers at the office furniture company Steelcase studied the effect of corporate culture on the social dynamics of offices. The countries noted in this article are the United States, Russia, Italy, Great Britain, Germany, China, Spain, Netherlands, India, Morocco, and France. The types of organizational culture are autocratic, individualist, masculine, short term, tolerant of uncertainty, low context, consultative, collectivist, feminine, security oriented, long term, and high context. Three office layouts that promote trust and enhance productivity are noted.
