This article considers the possible implications of research into learner styles for the teaching of EFL. First the notion "aspects of cognitive style" will be introduced. Next, four such aspects will be discussed and their possible relationships to the grammatical and communicative skills gone into. Subsequently a brief look will be taken at the sample group used to test these hypothetical relationships. Finally some tentative conclusions will be drawn and some remedial activities suggested.
