    Este artículo analiza la identidad cultural de Latinoamérica en el contexto del mundo actual, desde una perspectiva filosófica. Considera, pues, esta identidad latinoamericana en el proceso creativo del encuentro y de amalgamiento de distintas culturas, en que se encuentra y que afecta a todo el mundo. Después de una introducción se analiza la constitución ontológica de la cultura latinoamericana: primeramente la cultura indígena, luego las influencias formativas de la cultura europea en particular, la cultura ibérica -española y portuguesa-, y la cultura francesa.

    Luego una referencia a la italiana, alemana e inglesa y, finalmente, la influencia espiritual de la cultura africana. En la conclusión se acentúa la importancia de la cultura latinoamericana en el mundo actual.

    From a philosophical perspective, this paper analyses the cultural identity of Latin America in the current global context. It focuses on said Latin American heritage within the current creative meeting and melting process of different cultures worldwide. The introduction is followed by an analysis of the ontological constitution of the Latin American heritage: the early Indian settlers, the formative influence of the European heritage with specific reference to the Iberian (Spanish and Portuguese) and French heritage. Then, reference is made in passing to the Italian, German, British and, finally, to the African spiritual heritage. To conclude, emphasis is laid on the importance of Latin American heritage in the current world
