Resumen de La lucha del Marqués de Bélgida por la restitución del "Derecho de Portazgo" en la Villa de Torredelcampo (Jaén)

En el presente artículo pretendemos explicar cómo fue la postrer lucha del marqués de Bélgida por conservar el �Derecho de Portazgo�, uno de los muchos privilegios de los que disfrutaba. Dicho impuesto fue otorgado en la Edad Media, subsistió durante el Antiguo Régimen y, al no adaptarse ya a la nueva mentalidad que a España le tocó vivir a mediados del siglo XIX, terminó desapareciendo fruto de una nueva visión de la realidad.

In this article we explain how it was the latter end of the Marquess of Bélgida fight to preserve the �right to Portazgo�, one of the many privileges he enjoyed. This tax was granted in the Middle Ages during the Ancien Regime survived and, unable to adapt to the new mentality and that he leved in Spain in the mid-neneteenth century, disappearing finished product of a new vision of reality.
