Resumen de La teoría sobre la naturaleza del hombre y la sociedad en el pensamiento de Robert Owen como base del socialismo británico (1813-1816)

  Este artículo analiza la teoría que, en torno a la naturaleza del hombre y la sociedad, desarrolla Robert Owen en su primera obra de difusión masiva, A New View of Society, Or, Essays on the Principle of the Formation of the Human Character, and the Application of the Principle to Practice, compuesta por cuatro ensayos publicados entre 1813-1816. Se pretende demostrar que esta teoría evidencia un desplazamiento hacia los valores cooperativos, por sobre el individualismo, como base para enfrentar los problemas humanos. En este sentido, "la filosofía social" que sustenta su propuesta socialista estaría desarrollada con claridad en su primera construcción intelectual más difundida.

  Este artigo analisa a teoria que, em volta da natureza do homem e da sociedade, Robert Owen desenvolve em sua primeira obra de difusão massiva, A New View of Society or Essays on the Principle of the Formation of the Human Character, and the Application of the Principle to Practice, composta por quatro ensaios publicados entre 1813-1816. Pretende-se demonstrar que esta teoria evidencia um deslocamento em direção aos valores cooperativos, por cima do individualismo, como base para enfrentar os problemas humanos. Nesse sentido, "a filosofia social" que sustenta sua proposta socialista estaria desenvolvida com clareza em sua primeira construção intelectual mais difundida.

  This article analyzes the theory that Robert Owen developed regarding the nature of man and society in his first massively distributed work: A New View of Society, Or, Essays on the Principle of the Formation of the Human Character, and the Application of the Principle to Practice, which was composed of four essays published between 1813 and 1816. The article aims to demonstrate that this theory is evidence for a movement toward cooperative values, instead of individualism, as the base to face human problems. In that sense, the "social philosophy" that underlies his socialist proposal would have been clearly developed in his first widely distributed intellectual work.
