La Brigada de Investigación Tecnológica (BIT) es la encargada de la lucha contra la "delincuencia virtual", cuyo trabajo se centra en la investigación de redes o sistemas informáticos, así como en el análisis técnico-forene de los equipos informáticos. Unos de los problemas con los que se enfrenta los investigadores, es el carácter transfronterizo de los delitos cometidos por internet.

The Technological Investigation Squad (BIT) is tasked with fighting "virtual crime". Its work is focused on networks or computer systems investigations as well as on forensic expertising of computer tools. One of the problems the investigative officers are confronting is the transnational nature of the crimes committed via the Internet.
