  • The intent of this article is to study Hellenistic and Roman Ephesus, modern Selçuk: with a few historical notes and a general layout of the city; secondly, the Augustan prpylon of Mazaeus and Mithridates from its architectural and epigraphic remains with a special emphasis on the Greek and Roman inscriptions; and, finally, to conclude with a consideration of the cutl of the Gens Iulia in this city.
