  • The article discusses how ecotourism alters the relationship between local people and their natural resources with preservation of natural resources providing an effective avenue for development. It notes that ecotourism works if managed correctly citing as an example Rainforest Expeditions, a for-profit company dedicated to conservation and sustainable business. It indicates that wildlife and the indigenous people tourism aims to save may become lost unless ecotourism's problems are addressed
