The author of this, work, after nine years of experience in sharpening Ophthalmology instruments, makes a study of the most proper way to do so, as well as the angles of the edges and curvature radius that eye surgery instruments must have. The advantage of the scalpels having the point in the prolongation of the longitudinal axis of same and not displaced with respect to this axis, is stated. Curvature radius, sharpening angles and incidence angles - when referring to scissors-, as well as convergence angles in lanceolated knives, are pointed out by the author as being the most appropriate to obtain a perfect incision.
