Los ingenieros tienen la misión de crear herramientas y sistemas que contribuyan a satisfacer las necesidades humanas, entre ellas, la de la seguridad. Cuando se produce un accidente cabe hacerse preguntas y elaborar respuestas para evitar su repetición. Por ello, de la actitud con que se acepte el hecho y de la rigurosidad de la investigación, dependerá la calidad y la eficiencia de las soluciones a adoptar. Solo desde una posición impregnada de humildad, prudencia, trasparencia y responsabilidad, se pueden hacer propuestas sólidas que vuelvan a generar confianza en un transporte por parte de la ciudadanía.

Engineers have the task of creating systems and tools that help meet human requirements and, among them, that of safety. When an accident occurs it necessary to ask questions and find solutions to prevent any repetition. Just how the event is accepted and the thoroughness of the ensuing investigations prove vital to the quality and efficiency of the solutions put into place in the wake of any such incident. An honest, prudent, transparent and responsible position has to be adopted in order to provide solid proposals that allow the public to regain their trust in transport.
