In this article the author discusses aspects of the article "Moneyspots: Extraneous Attributes and the Coexistence of Money and Interest-Bearing Nominal Bonds" by Ricardo Lagos within the issue. The author explains why he would not add the ideas outlined in Lagos' study to his list of topics for discussion in his monetary economics class, the alternating-endowments model, and why the value of bank notes depends on their serial numbers, not their colors.
