Transhumanistas y Bioconservadores en torno al dopaje genético

    En el presente texto proponemos una reflexión sobre el uso de tecnologías genéticas que au- mentan el rendimiento deportivo como futuro campo de investigación de una neuroética social. Este problema, que se ha dado en llamar dopaje genético, congrega a su alrededor un debate entre los partidarios del bioconservadurismo y del transhumanismo. Expondremos la concepción de dos importantes representantes del transhumanismo (J. Savulescu y C. Tamburrini) y de dos conocidos partidarios del bioconservadurismo (M. Sandel y R. L. Simon), a fin de subrayar la importancia de este debate y las futuras implicaciones en la mejora del rendimiento físico, cognitivo y educacional a las que se deberá hacer frente desde el nivel socio-cultural de la neuroética.

    In the present paper we propose a reflection about the use of new technologies to enhance sports performance as a new field of the Social Neuroethic research. This problem, which has been called «gene doping», gathers around it a debate between supporters of Bioconservadurism and of Transhuman- ism. We will show the views of two important representatives of Transhumanism (J. Savulescu and C. Tamburrini) and two known supporters of Bioconservatism (M. Sandel and R. L. Simon), in order to indicate the importance of this debate and the future implications in the enhancement performance, cognitive and educational to what it will have to deal with from the Social and Cultural dimensions of Neuroethics.
