The proposal of placing the liturgy at the centre of evangelisation leads the Author to postulate roclametion of the Gospel as a mystagogical itinerary geared to introducing a person into the life of the Church, leading that person to experience its beauty. Tasting and seeing, participation and explanation, experience and understanding: liturgy and mystagogy constitute a complete education in the faith. In the face of the danger of anthropological reductionism, of the human being coming to be characterised by religion reduced to its merely intellectual aspect, and thereby weakened, the liturgical-mystagogical way engages rather the whole person. Indeed the beauty of the liturgy appears to address effectively the human person of today, reared as this person is in a visual culture, and thus increasingly used to attributing importance to that which is seen, and needig to "see to believe".
