    Une des premières cultures du Néolithique en Europe (vie-ve millénaire avant J.-C.) produisit beaucoup de parures. Le coquillage en fut le principal support. L’analyse des ornements qui furent composés d’objets aménagés ou travaillés dans cette matière première révèle qu’ils furent investis à toutes les étapes de la chaîne opératoire, depuis l’acquisition jusqu’à l’utilisation. Certains furent même porteurs d’un sens particulier en rapport avec le sexe ou l’âge des individus qui les portaient.

    One of the first neolithic culture in Europe (6th- 5th millennia BC) produced many ornaments. The Shell was the main support. The analysis of the ornaments which consisted of fairly transformed shells or totally shaped beads, rings, pendants, appliques worked in this raw material reveals that they were invested in all the stages of the work chain, since the acquisition until the use. Some were even expanding of a particular signification in touch with the sex or the age of the human people who wore them.
