  • Fourteen serial planktonic foraminiferal species are now reported from the Romanian Black Sea Offshores. The age of the shelf deposits which yielded the implied species is Cenomanian-Maastrichtian. Despite their scarceness and the long ranges of the species, the importance on the serial planktonic foraminifers in biostratigraphy is emphasized.
