About 50 species of Foraminifera and 25 of Ostracoda, from which two are new are described in the Pliopleistocene of Patras area, north of Peloponnese. The presence of Hyalinea balthica characterizes the Quaternary; existence of Pliocene is probable. The oligohalin fauna, with the Ostracode genus Tyrrhenocythere (three species) evokes euxinocaspic associations while the marine fauna is typically mediterranean.
