Resumen de Algae of Birgi Formation (Upper Jurassic-Lowermost Cretaceous) Karaburun Peninsula, Turkey

• The families of calcareous algae of Mitcheldeaniaceae, Cladophoraceae and Gymnocodiaceae are described from the Birgi Formation (Upper Jurassic - Lowermost Cretaceous), Karaburun Peninsula, Turkey. The following new taxa are introduced: Mitcheldeania brinkmanni n. Sp. (yanophyta), Pratumiella birgiensis n. Sp (Chlorophyta) and Permocalculus anatolicus n. Sp. (Rhodophyta).
