Bajo éxito reproductor de una colonia de Rabilargo (Cyanopica cyanus) en la provincia de Córdoba (sur de España)

  • The reproductive success of un Azure-winged Magpie Cyanopica cyanus colony in un oak grove was rnonitored in the province of Córdoba in spring 199 1. Clutch size was within the normal range for the species. Nevertheless, the hatching index (16.6%) and the reproductive success (0.18) are the lowest recorded to date for this species. It is suggested that the low breeding success could be due to a decline in sorne food source caused by aerial treatrnent of the urea with Malathion and Cipermetrin which was carried out in the rniddle of the breeding season
