  • Resumen
    • During the autumn of 1998 at Ca I'Arenes, in the Corredor Hills (Catalunya, NE Spain), a dead toad was found in o pool with a ringed Robin in its mouth. Since toads only eat live prey, the evidence suggests that the toad may have caught the bird in the pool. The ingestion of such unusually large prey by the toad probobly caused its subsequent death. There ore few records of amphibians eating vertebrates, most of them referring to mammals; this is one of the scarce records of predation on birds
