  • In its nesting territories the Booted Eagle Hieraaetus pennatus has generally been described as being aggressive against other diurnal raptors and other conspecifics. This note describes a Booted Eagle pair and a Northern Goshawk Accipiter gentilis pair nesting close together. Observations were gathered during six consecutive breeding seasons, the two pairs nesting at a minimum distance of 1 10 m and maximum of 200 m. No evidence of aggressive behaviour or interference between the two species was recorded.
