This note reports the first long-distance recovery of a Sardinian Warbler ringed in Catatonia (NE Spain). A bird ringed in full juvenile plumage on 8 July 1989 was subsequently recovered at Algeria in January 7 992. This recovery and the current evidence on the passage of the species during both the autumn and spring periods, show that part of the Western Mediterranean populations of Sardinian Warbler can perform true migratory movements
