El presente trabajo, tiene como objetivo central describir analíticamente, cómo una organización insurgente colombiana (actor no estatal), en este caso, las FARC-EP, en medio de los cambios ocurridos en el escenario internacional postguerra fría, desarrollaron un amplio trabajo diplomático en Centroamérica y el Caribe. Para el desarrollo del trabajo se utiliza la teoría transnacional y la categoría de actor no estatal como marco analítico. Por sus características, la actividad internacional de esta organización insurgente es de tipo alternativo, confrontacional y público.

The present work, it has as central aim describe analytical, how an organization Colombian insurgent (not state actor), in this case, the FARC-EP, in the middle of the changes happened in the international scene cold postwar, developed a wide diplomatic work in Central America and the Carib. For the development of the work there is in use the transnational theory and the category of not state actor as analytical frame. For his characteristics, the international activity of this organization insurgent is of alternative type, confrontacional and publicly.
