Chemistry educators are constantly searching for new ways to engage their students in the classroom. Fastest Fingers is a team-based activity in which students race to solve an organic chemistry problem and then build the answer using a modeling kit. Points are awarded for speed as well as accuracy, encouraging teams to collaborate e?ectively and work e?ciently.
The game can be tailored to many di?erent levels by varying the di?culty of the problem: topics such as nomenclature, isomerism, and basic reactions schemes can easily be included.
