Resumen de Atención de emergencias obstétricas a través del Convenio General de Colaboración Interinstitucional: Entrevistas a usuarias beneficiadas

  Introducción. Uno de los objetivos del Observatorio de Mortalidad Materna en México es el seguimiento de la operación de políticas públicas estratégicas encaminadas a la reducción de la mortalidad materna y la generación de recomendaciones aplicables a corto plazo para la mejora del desempeño de dichas políticas.

  En este contexto, se monitoreó el Convenio General de Colaboración Interinstitucional para la Atención de la Emergencias Obstétrica (CGCIAEO), firmado por las tres principales instituciones públicas del país.

  Material y Métodos. Estudio cualitativo sobre satisfacción, mediante entrevistas a profundidad a mujeres benficiadas por el CGCIAEO.

  Resultados. Se entrevistó a tres mujeres que relataron sus experiencias en las distintas unidades que las atendieron y calificaron la atención en un intervalo entre �mala� y �excelente�.

  Conclusiones. Estos testimonios muestran la necesidad de difundir información sobre este Convenio y sobre los signos y síntomas de la emergencia obstétrica entre la población en general y que, ante la presencia de cualquiera de ellos, deben acudir al establecimiento hospitalario más cercano a solicitar atención médica sin importar su afiliación o derechohabiencia institucional.

  Introducción. A main objective of the Maternal Mortality Observatory in Mexico is to monitor the strategic public policies operation, which aims towards the reduction of maternal mortality and to create suggestions that can be applied on a short period of time to the improvement of aforesaid politics. In this contest, the General Agreement of Interinstitutional Collaboration for the Attention of the Obstetric Emergencies (CGCIAEO) signed by the country�s main three public institutions was monitored.

  Materials and Methods. A qualitative study on satisfaction by doing extensive interviews to women that were beneficiated from the CGCIAEO.

  Results. Three women that were interviewed talked about their experiences in the different units in which they were tended. They graded the attention within a scale of �bad� to �outstanding�.

  Conclusions. These testimonies show the necessity to spread information to the general public on this Agreement and on the signs and symptoms that can be found in an obstetric emergency; also, that in the event of any of these symptoms, people should go to the nearest medical facility to request aid despite their affiliations or institutional entitlement.
