La formación que la Iglesia Católica ofrece a sus futuros sacerdotes ha sido objeto de estudio a lo largo de la historia. Abordamos el estudio del plan de formación para Seminarios recogido en la exhortación Pastores dabo vobis de 1992, fruto de la eclesiología y de la concepción del ministerio sacerdotal del Concilio Vaticano II (1962-1965). Con ello pretendemos comprobar si este nuevo plan formativo responde al ser y quehacer de la Iglesia y -por extensiónde los presbíteros y seminaristas del siglo XX. El análisis sociocultural de presbíteros y seminaristas nos ayudarán a comprender la estructura pedagógica del plan formativo analizado.

The formation that the Catholic Church offers its future priests has been an object of study throughout history; each time demands a particular pedagogical style. Approach the study of the formation plan for Seminaries collected in exhortation Pastores Dabo Vobis 1992, the result of ecclesiology and the conception of the priestly ministry of the Second Vatican Council (1962- 1965). Our aim is to check whether this new formation plan responds to the being and action of the Church and, by extension, of the priests and seminarians of the twentieth century. The sociocultural analysis of priests and seminarians will help us understand the pedagogical structure of the training plan used.
