Resumen de I+D en colchones sociosanitarios

  EL INSTITUTO DE BIOMECÁNICA DE VALENCIA (IBV) ESTÁ DESARROLLANDO EL PROYECTO de investigación BIOMATRES destinado a generar criterios de diseño y evaluación para colchones sociosanitarios. La primera parte del proyecto, de la que trata este artículo, consiste en la caracterización del comportamiento físico de este tipo de colchones y en la segunda se estudia la respuesta de biomecánica y subjetiva de los usuarios en el uso de los mismos. Está previsto que de la integración de los resultados de las dos fases del proyecto se obtengan criterios de diseño y valoración para este tipo de elementos del mobiliario terapéutico y de descanso.

  The Institute of Biomechanics of Valencia (IBV) is developing a research project aimed at the generation of design guidelines and evaluation criteria for hospital and geriatric mattresses. The first part of this project, treated in this work, deals with the characterization of the physical properties of this kind of mattresses and the second one deals with the user's biomechanic and subjective response in the use. It is expected that the integration of these results would yield the guidelines and criteria mentioned before for this kind of furniture for therapy and rest.
