El presente artículo compara si existen diferencias en los estilos de aprendizaje de acuerdo con el género o el tipo de colegio del que provienen los estudiantes que ingresan a la Universidad Tecnológica de Pereira en el primer semestre de 2007, teniendo en cuenta que los estudiantes que se matriculan constituyen unmuestra de la población de aspirantes a ingresar a la institución en este período. Esta comparación se realiza previa aplicación del método multivariado de componentes principales.

The present article compares if differences in the styles of learning in agreement with the sort exist or the type of school from which the students come who enter the Technological University of Pereira in the first semester of 2007, considering that the students which they are registered constitute a sample of the population of aspiring to enter the institution in this period.
