The authors present a response to an article in a prior issue by S. Ramoglou entitled "On the Misuse of Realism in the Study of Entrepreneurship" that itself was a comment on their own earlier article entitled"Epistemology, Opportunities, and Entrepreneurship: Comments on Venkataraman et al (2012) and Shane (2012)." They address Ramoglou's contention that they conflated a positivist position with critical realism, then consider problems arising from portraying opportunities as objective objects.
