  • Resumen
    • The article discusses inertia in U.S. politics. According to the author, significant changes are needed in country's armed forces, economy, retirement system, infrastructure, environmental policies, and educational system. It is suggested that powerful and influential actors within and outside the government are preventing change in order to promote their own interests. The author also emphasizes the role of complacency in U.S. politics. Other topics include campaign finance law, national security, and defense spending.
