This article looks at a case of toxic epidermal necrolysis probably caused by tramadol or lorazepam in a 65 year old male diagnosed with epidermoid carcinoma of the oropharynx who was hospitalised in the Hospital General Universitario of Elche in order to have a port-a-cath implanted. After taking the first doses of tramadol and lorazepam, he presented advanced toxic epidermal necrolysis which resolved after stopping the administration of both drugs and applying corticoid treatment, pentoxifilin and cyclophosphamide
