  • The authors observe that millions of members of the baby boom generation will retire from the work force between 2014 and 2024, cite various characteristics of that generation including their independence and competitiveness, and consider how baby-boom professionals can keep themselves occupied in retirement. They identify several opportunities for volunteer work including tutoring and teaching.
