Representaciones Sociales de la violencia en escolares de instituciones educativas venezolanas

    El propósito fue construir representaciones sociales de alumnos de escuelas venezolanas sobre la violencia y sus expresiones. Esta investigación de campo está apoyada en una complementariedad de métodos. Los actores sociales: 97 estudiantes con edades entre 6 y 13 años; estudiantes de 4 escuelas del Municipio Libertador, Caracas.

    Los resultados indican que las representaciones sociales de violencia en el hogar se centran en maltrato físico y verbal, coacción, adicción a sustancias alcohólicas y otros. En la escuela la reproducción de la violencia se manifiesta en el trato docente y entre pares. Las asociaciones que construyen los estudiantes derivan de su historia personal y social; de allí proviene el autoconcepto de cada uno, el rechazo al color de piel y algunas partes del cuerpo: color de ojos y tipo de cabello. Los supuestos acerca de la violencia giran alrededor de la experiencia vivida, los comportamientos violentos son expresiones de interacciones sociales que se reproducen en la familia y escuela.

    The purpose was building social representations, which come from violence and its expressions, and are owned by Venezuelan schools' students. Research supported in a complementarity of methods. The socials actors from this study are 97 students, from ages between 6 and 13 years old, of 4 schools in the Municipio Libertador,Caracas. The results indicate that social representations of home violence are centered in physical and oral mistreatment, coactions, addiction to alcoholic substances and of other, in the school, violence reproduction is manifested in the way teachers treat students; between peers, aggressions. The associations built by the child come from his personal, social and from its family's history; thus the auto concept appears from each one of them, rejection to the color of their skin, some parts of their body: eye color and type of hair. As a reflection: the supposals about violence go around children's living experience, students violent behaviors are expression of the social interactions reproduced in the family as well as in the school.
