    Gadamer�s defense of the notion of practical reason against the current domination of the technical and scientific reason is an opportunity to examine the space where such practical rationality is operated effectively. In this sense, there was no other place except the city, conceived as a space essentially ethical and political. Therefore, thinking the city means considering this sphere as primarily practical, where basic common principles governing the immanence of life towards the common good. Thus, one intend to discuss the resumption of Gadamer�s praxis and its relationship with the possibility of refounding the city from the philosophical and practical elements that, according to Gadamer, have currently been ignored.

    A defesa que Gadamer realiza da noção de razão prática em detrimento ao atual domínio da razão técnico-científica é uma oportunidade de analisar o espaço no qual tal racionalidade prática atua efetivamente.

    Neste sentido, não haveria outro lugar a não ser a cidade, concebida como um espaço essencialmente ético-político. Assim sendo, pensar a cidade significa considerar tal âmbito primordialmente prático, onde princípios comuns básicos regem a imanência da vida e têm como finalidade o bem comum. Deste modo, pretende-se discutir a retomada gadameriana da práxis e sua relação com a possibilidade de refundar a cidade a partir dos elementos filosófico-práticos que, segundo o próprio Gadamer, encontram-se atualmente desconsiderados.
