Objective: To evaluate the impact of an intervention on the prescription of non-sedative antihistamines among Primary Health Care doctors (PHC) in the Ibiza-Formentera Area. Methods: A 'before-after' type intervention study on the prescriptions of all (PHC) doctors. The intervention consists of preparing and distributing a leaflet conjunction with an information session in each Health center by the PHC Pharmacist. An analysis is carried out of the relative use of each drug in the three months before and after the study, using the % of prescribed defined daily doses (%DDD). Results: Before the intervention the relative use of cetirixine was 16.8% DDD. After it was 37.9% DDD. Conclusions: Intervention brought about the desired change in prescription attitudes and proved to be an effective way of improving the use of medicines
