La parroquia de Calacalí es una de las más antiguas de la provincia de Pichincha, cuenta con importantes atractivos turísticos, históricos, culturales y naturales como la Reserva Geobotánica Pululahua, el bosque nublado de Yunguilla, el bosque nublado de Nieblí, el primer monumento a la Mitad del Mundo, la Iglesia, con su estilo arquitectónico neoclásico; la pileta que data de la época de la Colonia; tiene varias haciendas productivas agrícolas y lecheras. Además, está rodeada de montañas interesantes como Papa Tena, Perlaví, Guasaya, San Francisco, Pilapata, etc., para desarrollar el turismo de naturaleza y aventura.
Sin embargo, no ha sido bien aprovechado en el campo turístico, por lo que se realizó un análisis de cada uno de los atractivos, se examinó su situación actual y se determinó sus potencialidades con el objeto de plantear lineamientos para el desarrollo turístico de la zona.

The Calacali Parish is one of the oldest parish of the Pichincha province, it has important tourist, cultural and natural attractions such as: The Pululahua Geobotanic Reserve, The Yunguilla cloudy forest, The Niebli cloudy forest, the first monument of the Middle of the World, the church with its neoclassic architectonic style, the water fountain which was built in the Colonial time, it has several productive agricultural and dairy haciendas. In addition, it is surrounded by interesting mountains such as: Papa Tena, Perlavi, Guasaya, San Francisco, Pilapata, etc. all these characteristics help to develop the natural and adventure tourism.
Regardless what it was mentioned above, it has not been well used in the tourist field, for this reason, an analysis of each of these attractions has been made; its current situation was analyzed and they have found out its potentialities in order to establish guidelines for the tourist development of this zone.
