Interpretación de álbumes ilustrados como recurso educativo para la competencia literaria y visual

    Este artículo presenta algunas ideas básicas sobre cómo se lee un álbum ilustrado, revisando algunos de los aspectos más significativos en la relación entre la ilustración y el texto. Se ofrecen instrumentos para desarrollar todo el potencial de este producto cultural como recurso educativo para fomentar su capacidad interpretativa a los docentes y mediadores que advierten en los álbumes ilustrados la existencia de estímulos artísticos visuales y verbales Para ello se propone la aplicación del método close commentary a las obras seleccionadas: Un regalo diferente, El secreto, Sopa de calabaza, Sin rumbo por el mundo, Catalina y el oso, Luna, Cocodrilo, Cinco y Pajarita de papel. Las propuestas para la interpretación se centran en la interrelación entre ilustración y texto en relación con la construcción del espacio de la composición, el tiempo narrativo, la representación del ambiente, la caracterización de los personajes, la adopción de un punto de vista en la focalización de la escena, el registro de la narración, la elipsis, los mundos polifónicos, y la creación de ritmos y la ironía.

    This article presents some basic ideas on how to read the picturebook, revising some of the most significant aspects in the relation between the illustration and the text. We offer instruments to develop all the potential this cultural product has as an educational resource to foment the interpretative capacity of teachers and mediators who perceive the existence of visual and verbal artistic stimulations in picturebooks. To do this, we propose the application of the method close commentary to the selected works: Un regalo diferente, El secreto, Sopa de calabaza, Sin rumbo por el mundo, Catalina y el oso, Luna, Cocodrilo, Cinco y Pajarita de papel. The proposals for interpretation are centered on the interrelation between illustration and text regarding the definition of space in the composition, the narrative time, the representation of the atmosphere, the characterization of the characters, the adoption of a point of view when focusing a scene, the narration register, the ellipsis, the polyphonic worlds, the creation of rhythms and the irony used.
